Osaka January 2015 (Day 5) - Hiroshima/Miyajima - Part II

On the way back from Miyajima-guchi on JR Sanyo Line, we decided to alight at Yokogawa Station and take the tram for Hiroshima Atomic Dome.  Yokogawa Station is a suitable transfer point as the tram terminal is situated directly in front of the station exit.  We took Tram Service 7 operated by the Hiroshima Electric Railway for Genbaku Dome-mae Station.

  

From Genbaku Station, it was a short across the road to the Atomic Dome.  Unfortunately, the dome was undergoing renovation when we visited earlier this year.  The dome is located in the Peace Memorial Park (平和記念公園, Heiwa Kinen Kōen).
